Hiphop schrijft geschiedenis. Verhalen van culturele rijkdom, voorouderlijke wijsheid en maatschappelijke helden, maar ook van historisch onrecht en koloniaal geweld, krijgen een centrale plek in de kunst. Om een plek te geven aan intergenerationele trauma’s, om bewustzijn te creëren, maar vooral ook om hoopvolle toekomstscenarios te schetsen. De kunstwerken in deze zaal tonen hoe science fiction, fantasy en humor worden ingezet om trots, zelfbewustzijn en culturele autonomie te versterken.
